<p>Here&#8217;s the recipe:</p>
<ul>
<li>1 cup (2 sticks) of butter (or margarine)</li>
<li>1 cup white sugar</li>
<li>1 egg</li>
<li>1/2 t.  <a href='http://www.watkinsonline.com/productdetail.cfm?Product=21380&gCatalogLocale=USA&ECredit=313495'>Watkins Almond Extract</a></li>
<li>1/2 t.  <a href='http://www.watkinsonline.com/productdetail.cfm?Product=01008&gcatalogLocale=USA&ECredit=313495'>Watkins Double-Strength Vanilla</a></li>
<li>2 cups all-purpose flour</li>
<li>1/2 cup finely-chopped walnuts</li>
<li>red and/or green colored sugar</li>
</ul>
<p>Preheat oven to 350F.  In the bowl of your mixer, cream the butter and sugar.  Add the egg.  Add the <a href='http://www.watkinsonline.com/productdetail.cfm?Product=21380&gCatalogLocale=USA&ECredit=313495'>almond extract</a> and <a href='http://www.watkinsonline.com/productsgroup.cfm?Parent=3&family=314&gCatalogLocale=USA&ECredit=313495&group=749'>vanilla</a>.  Beat until light and fluffy.</p>
<p>Add the flour and chopped walnuts until just moistened.  Remove from mixing bowl.  Cover and chill until the dough is firm enough to handle  Shape into 1 inch balls; place 2 inches apart on greased (on non-stick) baking sheet.  Flatten with the bottom of  a glass dipped in colored sugar.  Bake until cookies are set.</p>
<p>Makes about 30 cookies.</p>
